All About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Tianna for those who do not know me. Pronounced tee-awn-uh! I am just a few days short of 23 years old. Welcome to my World Race blog! This happens to be my first blog so please be patient with me!

I was always a talker so let’s see how writing an introduction without rambling goes!

I was born on November 15th, 1996. Five months later on April 14th, 1997, I was adopted from Vietnam by a loving and supportive family. I was raised in Danville, PA. For those not familiar with the area, it’s a small town in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. Usually when I tell people where I’m from I usually say, “Geisinger Medical Center,” or “Harrisburg,” sometimes I’ll even say, “Philadelphia Eagles.” Those are usually my landmarks.

I was brought into a family by an amazing mom and dad. Growing up, I had two older brothers and a younger sister. I can’t forget about the numerous pets throughout the years as well!

I grew up in this small town my whole my life until it was time to go to college. Except, I didn’t really travel far, only 40 minutes down the road. I attended Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA. I graduated in 4 years earning my B.S in Early Childhood Education. While in school, I took leadership roles in my sorority, Sigma Kappa, and the women’s rugby team. My senior year, I joined the Greek inter-varsity bible study on campus. In between these years, I made great memories, friends, served people, and learned a lot about myself.

Currently, I live in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania trying to figure out this whole “adulting” thing. I am a Pre-School teacher at Danville Child Development Center. In my free time, I am spending time with my family, friends, and my sweet golden retriever. I love to be outdoors and stay active whenever I can! Some of my hobbies include, writing, pretending I am Julia Childs’, traveling and serving the Lord.

In a nutshell, that is a little about me. I plan to tell more of my story throughout my blog. As said before in my previous posts, this is my safe place. I am not perfect, I am not the best writer, but I do promise to stay true to you, myself and the Lord during this time before travel, during travel and after travel.

Thank you in advance for following and supporting this journey with me.

  1. Thanks for sharing the journey with me. I am so looking forward to your next blog. Happy birthday hope it’s awesome. Thanks for being part of our family.

  2. I am so proud of you and am glad I got to know you through Zach! Your like a daughter to me! I cant wait to hear of your adventures and your “musadventures” through this journey you are about to take. Love you!

  3. I want to say that you got me with mention of the Philadelphia Eagles. Go birds! But in reality you got me the minute I met you when you were an infant. Always happy and always smiling, you’re one of those individuals who consistently finds your way into the hearts of many–you certainly have done that for me. I’ve always been proud of you but I’m most proud of the generous, loving, and absolute beautiful young woman you have become! Heck, if I had it I give you all the funds you need to go and spread your love and beauty throughout the world. I will, however, do what I can. You’re about to face some tough situations that I know will make you an even more incredible and strong woman. You will feel like you’re leaving pieces of your heart all over the world but in reality you’ll be adding more pieces to your heart, so much so that you’ll wonder how it fits in your chest. Go forth and do wonderful things, Tianna. The world needs your light??
